Our Story – 27 Years of Bookselling Excellence

Since opening our doors over two decades ago, A page or two… Bookshop has built a reputation as one of Brisbane’s finest second-hand bookshops.

The bookshop has been part of the Corinda community since 1998, and has been in the same location for all these years. It was originally a family owned, and run business.
Linda started working at the bookshop in 2001. She spent 15 years working for the previous owners, including 5 years managing the business for them. During this time, the shop began to evolve, introducing a carefully curated range of gifts, which includes Australian owned and made products.
In 2015, our commitment to outstanding customer service was recognised when we won the Centenary Chamber of Commerce Small Business Award. Linda bought the business that year, and renamed it A page or two…Bookshop.
Since then, the shop has continued to grow and refine its character. The range and choice of books has expanded to include more literature (including many of the old classics), Australiana, Military, History, Art & Architecture, modern and vintage Science Fiction & Fantasy, Folio Society, rare & out-of-print books, and many more.

In 2025, the business was sold to John Tate. Linda continues to work at the bookshop for John, in a part time capacity.
John has continued with the same philosophy that has made A page or two…Bookshop a beloved local institution, and centre of the Corinda community.
At the heart of everything in the business, is people, and exceptional customer service. The bookshop also has a dedicated sourcing service for customers who are looking for rare, out-of-print, or hard-to-find titles.
If we don’t have the book on the shelf, we’ll do our best to find it for you.

We understand that some books hold sentimental value, while others are lifelong pursuits. That’s why we go the extra mile to help our customers find exactly what they’re looking for. From first editions and signed copies to forgotten classics and niche non-fiction, every book on our shelves has a story waiting to be discovered.
